Samarth Kamat, Mukesh Gauns, Kanika Pai Vernekar and Shreekrushna Sakpal stole the spotlight by clinching double crowns each at the Republic Cup Badminton 2026, an All Goa Badminton Tournament organised by Whirlwinds Sports Club and Evening Badminton Group in aegis with the Goa Badminton Association at the Indoor Stadium, Campal.
The day-long tournament, held as part of the Republic Day celebrations, witnessed spirited competition across age categories, seniors and veterans, with family and parent-child events adding colour and excitement to an action-packed schedule.
Packed stands, close matches and standout performances made the Republic Cup a true celebration of badminton and sporting camaraderie.
