The 11th Convocation of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa will be held on Friday (February 6, 2026).at 10:00 a.m. on its campus at Cuncolim, South Goa. The ceremony will be graced by Padma Vibhushan Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Former Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India, as the Chief Guest. Viresh Vazirani, Founder of Growth Gravy and an alumnus of NIT Goa, will be the Guest of Honour.
A total of 216 students will be awarded degrees during the convocation, including 162 B.Tech, 30 M.Tech and 24 Ph.D scholars. The institute has recorded notable placement achievements, with 108 companies participating in campus recruitment.
The highest package offered to undergraduate students was ₹21.6 lakh per annum, while the average package stood at ₹8.10 lakh per annum. Major recruiters included PSUs such as BPCL, BEL and MECON, along with leading companies like Intel, Dell and STMicro electronics.
NIT Goa has made significant progress in research and innovation, securing 56 projects worth nearly ₹41 crore and receiving 22 patents. The institute has also received ₹6.33 crore research project under the ANRF PAIR Programme in collaboration with IIT Bombay.
In line with the National Education Policy 2020, NIT Goa has introduced a revised curriculum focussing on interdisciplinary learning, skill development, Indian Knowledge Systems and industry-oriented education. The institute has also strengthened collaborations by signing 13 MoUs with reputed national and international institutions.
