Student musicians from Australia’s Queensland University of Technology (QUT) joined hands with the students of the Goa Jazz Academy (GJA) on the evening of February 13 to present a special collaborative music show. This show was hosted by the Goa Jazz Academy at their campus in Guirim, near Mapusa. The evening reflected a strong spirit of exchange, listening, and experimentation.
The music show was a result of many days of workshops and rehearsals, where the students from both institutions composed, arranged, and refined original music in mixed ensembles. The final presentation featured fresh compositions shaped by diverse influences and shared creative process.
According to Divya Gupta, co-founder of GJA, “The collaboration highlighted the value of international partnerships in music education and offered audiences an engaging set of new work created entirely by the students.
