Fr. Agnel College of Arts & Commerce, Pilar, took a significant step towards bridging the gap between academics and industry by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Etechskill Academy, Panjim founded by Parvish Andani Kamat, for hands-on practical training in Commerce subjects; stated a press release on Thursday.
The MoU signing ceremony took place in the College Heritage Hall in the presence of Fr. Anthony Silva (Administrator), Dr. Fredrick Rodrigues (Principal), professors, and students. The agreement was signed byParvish Andani Kamat, Founder of Etechskill Academy, who shared her vision of equipping students with job-ready practical skills that go beyond textbooks.
Principal Dr. Fredrick Rodrigues emphasized that his interactions with business professionals revealed the urgent need for students to gain exposure to dummy portals of GST, Income Tax, TDS, PF, and other compliance-related tools. “This collaboration will ensure our students are industry-ready and confident when they step in the job world after finishing graduation” he said.
Parvish Andani Kamat added, “For the first time in Goa, students will get live training on real-world simulations right inside their college campus on dummy government portals. This will not only prepare them for placements but also help them develop confidence as future entrepreneurs and finance professionals.”
Twenty-eight students passed out from the first GST Return Filling Module in March 2026. The training sessions was conducted by CA Vaibhav Pai Fondekar, on campus and included live case studies, practical simulations, and certifications in GST, Income Tax, and Payroll compliances. Etechskill Academy, based in Miramar, Panaji, also offers other initiatives such as Digital Marketing Modules, like AI-Video Editing on Mobile phone, scheduled for 14th March, Study Abroad Admissions and Educational Tours to international destinations including UAE, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka – opening global opportunities for Goan students, more details on www.etsacademy.in.
