Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has announced that Captain of Ports Department, Government of Goa, and RailTel Corporation of India have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding.
The Chief Minister presided over the signing of the MoU in the presence of PWD Minister Digambar Kamat, who also holds the portfolio of Captain of Ports.
Dr Sawant asserted that this partnership would strengthen the IT and digital infrastructure of Goa’s non-major ports through modern technology, AI-enabled systems, secure cloud solutions, and improved digital connectivity, helping modernise port operations and enhance efficiency. “An important step towards technology-driven governance and stronger maritime infrastructure in Goa,” he added.
