Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant graced the celebration of International Day for Biological Diversity 2026 themed ‘Acting Locally for Global Impact’ by Goa State Biodiversity Board at Zuari Hall, Lok Bhavan, Dona Paula.
The State-level programme was organised by the Government of Goa’s Goa State Biodiversity Board.
The Chief Minister presented Goa State Biodiversity Conservation Awards – 2025, recognising contributions of Biodiversity management Committees (BMCs) and individuals towards biodiversity protection and conservation efforts.
The event was attended by Secretary, Environment and Climate Change, Government of Goa, Sarpreet Singh Gill, IAS, Director for Environment and Climate Change, Sachin Desai among others.
