Ruhaan Shaikh, Vedant Wagle, Yug Prabhu and Ishita Colaso grabbed the spotlight with impressive performances as the finalists were decided across multiple categories at the 6th Naguesh and Sushila Verenkar Memorial Table Tennis Ranking Tournament, organised by Chandor Club under the aegis of the Goa Table Tennis Association at the Chandor Club Multipurpose Hall.
Ruhaan Shaikh will face Vedant Wagle in the Boys’ Under-15 final after both registered hard-fought 3-2 victories over Dhruva Kamat and Yug Prabhu respectively.
In the Boys’ Under-13 category, Yug Prabhu cruised past Yuvaan Sanke 3-0 and Mission Lalpekhlua halted Ishaan Colaso’s run with a 3-0 win to set up the title clash.
In the Girls’ Under-15 semi-finals, Ishita Colaso outclassed Gianna George 3-0, while Sachi Dessai defeated Vanlalrinzuali 3-1 to book a place in the final.
In the Girls’ Under-13 semi-finals, Sachi Dessai registered a convincing 3-0 win over Vanlalrinzuali, while Tisha Shaikh downed Inara D’Souza 3-0, setting up an exciting title clash.
