Molbio Diagnostics Limited, the innovative health-tech company headquartered in Verna, South Goa; is preparing for a significant milestone with its upcoming Initial Public Offer (IPO). Known globally for its transformative Truenat platform, the company is now inviting investors and its own workforce to share in its future growth.
A Global Leader with a Goan Heart
Founded in 2000, Molbio has grown from a private enterprise into a public limited powerhouse. While its impact is international with over 12,500 devices sold in 90 countries; its operational core remains firmly in Goa. The company operates two major manufacturing facilities in Verna (Goa Unit I and II) and maintains its Registered and Corporate Office at Plot No. L-46 in the Verna Industrial Estate.
Molbio’s crowning achievement, the Truenat platform, is a portable, battery-operated real-time PCR system that has decentralized molecular diagnostics. It is currently the only Indian-made test for Tuberculosis (TB) endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO) for initial diagnosis and drug resistance detection.
Empowering the Local Workforce
For the residents of Goa and the company’s dedicated staff, the IPO is more than just a financial event. Molbio has specifically created an Employee Reservation Portion, reserving shares aggregating up to ₹ 15 million for eligible employees.
To further encourage participation, the company may offer a discount on the offer price specifically for its permanent employees. This initiative reflects Molbio’s commitment to its 1,225-strong permanent workforce, many of whom are based right here in Goa.
Driving Innovation and Expansion
The proceeds from the IPO’s fresh issue, which aims to raise up to ₹ 2,000 million, are earmarked for ambitious expansion.
Key projects include:
• Infrastructure for R&D: Funding a new research facility and Center of Excellence.Manufacturing Automation: Enhancing efficiency at the Goa Unit I and Unit II through the purchase of advanced, automated machinery. The bidding for the IPO is scheduled to open on Monday, August 10, 2026, and will close on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
As Molbio prepares to list on the NSE and BSE, it stands as a testament to Goa’s potential as a hub for high-tech manufacturing and scientific innovation.
