Tagore Almeida’s book ‘Saligia’ talks about the values necessary for humanity even in the times of Social Media barrage. The author emphasised that values he learnt at home, had provided the spine to stand up to the challenges of life.
Courage, humility and compassion is what matters; advocated Tagore as he spoke about various chapters in his book during a conversation helmed by Pravin Sabnis.
Former Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly, Tomazinho Cardozo graced the book release function along with his wife and other dignitaries at Merces-Tiswadi on Thursday evening. While lauding Almeidas for their kindness and humility, the acclaimed writer himself complimented Tagore for his dedication to writing. “Book lasts for generations together like nothing else, not even technology,” remarked Cardozo.
Speaking about the book, noted teacher Isabel de Santa Rita Vas highlighted that the book is for all age groups since it connects with all of us as we live in houses!
To sum up his latest offering, Tagore said: “The message, I hope is clear and universal: The war is within, and every choice is a brick that either strengthens or weakens the house in which our soul lives. Ultimately, ‘SALIGIA’ is a map back to the values we lose in the rush of modern life, a reminder that courage, gratitude, compassion, humility, and integrity are not ancient relics, but living virtues that sustain the human spirit.”
