PANAJI: India’s leading sports nutrition brand Fast&Up has joined hands with the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) as the Title Sponsor and Energy Partner for the 60th National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships, says a press release.
The Inter-State Athletics Championships will be held from 25 – 29 June across two venues in Patiala. The competition will serve as the last qualification opportunity for elite athletes vying to make the cut for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Speaking about the association with the AFI, Vijayaraghavan Venugopal, Fast&Up Co-Founder said: “We are immensely pleased to enter into a partnership with the Athletics Federation of India (AFI). Through this alliance, we wish to do our bit in enabling the competing athletes to achieve their dream of qualifying for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. We will offer a choice range of Fast&Up products for the athletes at the event to fuel and support their performance. We hope this partnership with the Athletics Federation of India for the 60th National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships will be the first of many.”
In view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, strict public health and safety protocols will be followed during the competition. To avoid large gatherings in one place, the competition will be hosted at two different locations in Patiala. Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports will be the venue for 24 events while the other 19 events will be held at Punjabi University grounds.
