PANAJI: Goa’s beaches are now open for swimming among other activities, but the beachgoers are advised to stick to the swimming zones marked out by Drishti lifesavers.
The monsoon season is finally waning, and the beaches are now open for swimming and leisure activity. Each morning, Drishti lifesavers map the weather and sea conditions and establish safe swimming zones around the beaches that are staffed by the agency. Swimmers should generally swim only in the swim zones indicated by Drishti lifesavers with red and yellow flags. Non-swimming zones are denoted by red flags and are not intended for swimming.
