PANAJI: Goa Technology Association president, Milind Anvekar presented IT Minister, Rohan Khaunte with GTA’s IT Roadmap 2022-25 for Goa.
The ‘IT Roadmap’ focuses on infrastructure creation, work from Goa, Goa as an IT event destination, employment generation opportunities, innovation and export-driven growth. The same IT Roadmap was presented to the Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant in December of last year.
The Minister has assured to meet the Industry delegation soon to discuss the roadmap in detail and finalising the vision document for Goa, says a press note.
“Goa has untapped opportunities in IT and digitalisation that can play a key role in the country’s vision of a $1 trillion digital economy in the next five years. GTA has proposed these five points to be the focus over the next 3-4 years to drive the growth of IT in Goa and also help create quality employment for Goan youth. While we focus on creating a new Goa, we need to also protect the real Goa for our future generations. GTA is committed to the development of the IT ecosystem in Goa and will provide all necessary support as always. Looking forward to participating in building the Roadmap towards Swayampurna Goa,” said Anvekar.
Under the leadership of CM Sawant and IT Minister Khaunte, the industry is excited and hopeful to get a boost to the IT and startup ecosystem in Goa, added the press release.
