Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said the third edition of Vibrant Goa Global Business Summit 2026 had strengthened Goa’s position as an emerging investment destination. He said, “The Goa Investment Promotion Board has signed 9 MoUs during the summit, representing an investment potential of ₹8,600 crore and the possibility of generating over 5,000 employment opportunities in sectors such as AI, data centres, hospitality, education, healthcare, sports infrastructure, energy and logistics. With additional proposals in the pipeline, the total investment potential exceeds ₹10,000 crore. More than 250 projects have already been approved by the Investment Promotion Board, reflecting the growing interest of investors in Goa.”
Speaking about the government’s plans to strengthen local businesses and expand investment opportunities, Dr. Sawant said, “Our focus is to ensure that investments translate into projects, employment and opportunities for the people of Goa. Through the RAMP initiative, Reverse Buyer Seller Meet and Mukhyamantri Export Initiation Scheme, we are helping MSMEs access national and international markets. We aim to create 500 MSME Export Champions by 2037. I invite investors to explore opportunities in Goa’s hinterland and in sectors such as AI, data centres, defence technology and electronics manufacturing. My government will extend full support through responsive governance and industry-friendly policies as we work towards a prosperous Goa by 2037 and Viksit Bharat 2047.”
