Two Russian pianists are set to regale aficionados on March 2 at the Art Chamber-Calangute on Saturday, 7.30pm onwards; states a press communique.
Andrey Pisarev is the dean of the Moscow conservatory, while Ivan Koshcheev is an assistant professor at the Moscow conservatory.
Pisarev is a pianist of a world renown, winning many competitions across the world which include the “International Mozart” Competition, where he was awarded the Grand Prize, the first time since 1956.
Critics in many countries regard him as a major artiste with exceptional piano skills and rare virtuosity displayed in works of Chopin, Liszt, Schumann and Debussy. A major newspaper in Germany wrote, “Pisarev’s performance cannot be forgotten. He has presented such impressive music that is rarely heard.”
Pisarev’s junior colleague, Ivan Koshcheev is presently the assistant professor at the Moscow conservatory. Koshcheev is a laureate of many international competitions in Germany, Bulgaria, St. Petersburg and Moscow. He is the winner of the IAA piano competition in France and Switzerland. He has played at many concerts in Europe and African countries as well as China and Philippines. This will be his debut in India.
The two pianists will be playing the works of masters like Mozart, Schubert, De Falla and Brahms.
