Akashvani Panaji will be organising ‘Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan 2025’ at the Auditorium of Department of Chemical Science, Goa University (GU), Bambolim, at 05.00 PM on Sunday, 9th November, 2025. Sangeet Sammelan is an annual event organised by Akashvani across the country with a motto of celebrating the timeless spirit of Indian music.
The event at GU will feature a Western Classical Music performance in the form of a violin duet by violin brothers Deb Shankar Roy and Jyoti Shankar Roy. In the Marathi Classical Music category, a Natya Sangeet will be performed by Prachi Pradeep Jathar, a talented practitioner of Indian classical music who has achieved remarkable accomplishments in the fields of singing, musicology and music therapy.
In the Konkani Light Music category, Dr. Shakuntala Bharne will perform for the audience.

Since its inception in 1954, Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan has stood as a proud testimony to All India Radio’s commitment to nurturing India’s rich and diverse musical heritage.
For over six decades, the prestigious annual event has brought together the finest exponents of Hindustani and Carnatic classical music, light and folk traditions, and, in recent years, contemporary and western genres.
The Sangeet Sammelan has featured an illustrious lineage of maestros such as PL. Ravi Shankar, Ustad Bismillah Khan, PL. Bhimsen Joshi, Vidushi M.S. Subbulakshmi, Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Dr. N. Rajam, and many others whose contributions have enriched the musical fabric of our nation.
As Akashvani celebrates the 67th edition of the Sangeet Sammelan in 2025, artists will perform across 24 venues nationwide. This year’s Sammelan will feature renowned performers such as PL. Rakesh Chaurasia, PL. Venkatesh Kumar, Pt. Vishwamohan Bhatt, Pt. Ashim Chaudhary, Vidushi Jyoti Hegde, Vidushi Dr. N.J. Nandini, Vidushi Kolluru Vandana, Dr. Deepali Wattal, and many more, alongside an array of talented folk, light, and western musicians from across the country.
