PANAJI: Andhra inflicted a huge 103-run defeat over Goa to win their fifth match in a row in Elite Group ‘C’ BCCI Women’s Senior One-Day Trophy at RCA Academy ground, Jaipur, on Saturday. They topped the group stage with 20 points in their kitty while Goa finished second in the six-team group with 12 points.
Andhra, who chose to bat, posted 248/4 with major contributions from C H Jhansi Lakshmi (100 Not Out) and V Pushpa Latha (83).
Goa captain Shikha Pandey (10-0-55-2), Nikita Malik (7-2-15-1) and Tejashwini Duragad (8-0-45-1) were among the wickets.
In reply, Goa were all out for 145 runs in 42.3 overs. Shikha Pandey (44 ) and Sugandha Ghadi (36) offered a bit of resistance but the batting unit failed to fire to make a contest out of the chase.
Andhra’s B Anusha (8-1-25-3), E Padmaja (9-2-31-2) and Saranya Gadwal (10-1-34 -2) bowled well.
