HANDICRAFTS BY ARTISANS FROM 21 STATES ON EXHIBITION AT DONA PAULA

Goa Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai,   Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel; Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant graced a multi-state Handicraft Exhibition, by Gramshree and Craftroots, at ICG, Dona Paula. MLA Dr. Deviya Rane was also present.

The exhibition showcases handicrafts by the artisans of India with around 80 artisans being involved,  and 65 crafts on display from across 21 states. This exhibition will be open for public from 10.30am to 9.00pm till 3rd December.

The Chief Minister appreciated and congratulated Gramshree for working for empowerment of marginalised women, and acknowledged Craftroots for extending the mission with empowering craftsmen.

In his address, Dr Sawant emphasised that the Government of Goa always supports crafts and craftsmen from the state. “The Kunbi village is a staggering example.. I assure you that the Goa Government will always be in support of such initiatives and will continue to work towards the growth and development of the handicraft sector. I urge people to visit the exhibition and support the arts & crafts,” stated the Chief Minister.
