PANAJI: Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) under the guidance of Block Technology Manager (Bicholim and Sanquelim), Ashweta Khambal, conducted a workshop for Chorao Farmers Club SHG at Ambadi – Chodan on Tuesday. The nursery project is also supported by NABARD.
As part of the exercise for sustainable agriculture development, the visiting ATMA resource person guided the farmers with the processes involved in raising tomato and chilli seedlings.
According to Ashweta, a total of four packets each containing 3000 tomato seeds have been handed over to the farmers club with roughly around 10 thousand seedlings aggregate, being expected. Thus ATMA’s focus on promoting tomato cultivation, is very clear, with the aim of making Goa self-sufficient.
