Aaron Farias is poised for a double crown while Akshan Lawande and Anshuman Agarwal have entered the finals of the Bambolim Beach Resort State Major Ranking Table Tennis Championship, at Peddem. The concluding ranking championship of the season has been organised by the Goa Table Tennis Association in collaboration with the Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) & North Goa Table Tennis Development Council, and powered by Bambolim Beach Resort.
In Boys U17 singles, top seed Aaron Farias demonstrated scintillating form to ease his way past Pushkar Virgincar with a commanding 3-0 (11-8, 11-8, 11-8) win. Chandan Caro gave a tough time to number two seed Akshan Lawande before the latter prevailed to a 3-2 (11-7, 4-11, 11-7, 2-11, 11-5) win. In Boys U19 section, Aaron Farias cruised to an exciting 3-0 (11-4, 12-10, 13-11) win over emerging youngster Rishan Shaikh while Anshuman Agarwal, an India ranked player and medalist, impressed in a 3-0 (11-5, 11-6, 11-8) win over Pushkar Virgincar.
