Bishworjit Saikhom of the Indian Army and the miniOrange sports academy team won the Goa Triathlon clocking an impressive 2:08:53 hours for the 51.5 km distance. The Olympic distance, Goa Triathlon was making a comeback in this year’s miniOrange AquaMoga 2025 event after a hiatus of seven years.
Bishworjit, winner of the 2024 Ironman 70.3 Goa race was a favourite from start to finish. He was out of the ocean first and led the swim-bike-run segments from start to the finish.
Bishworjit was followed closely by team-mate, Biten Laikhuram, in a time of 2:10:10 hrs and Nihal Baig of Pune, a former, Ironman 70.3 Goa champion in third position with a time of 2:21:42 hrs.

Riddhi Kadam, another Team miniOrange triathlete was the quickest woman triathlete winning her race with a time of 2:31:19 hours. Her miniOrange team-mate, Sweety Nongmaithem was likewise the quickest female athlete in the newly-introduced, Aquathlon event winning her 1.5km swim plus 10km run event in 1:44:30 hours, on a day dominated by the Pune-based miniOrange sports academy.
The two other events which saw some fast racing were the Olympic distance triathlons in the women’s and men’s junior categories. Kabidash Singh of Team miniOrange won the men’s category in 2:13: 15 hrs, followed closely by Mohammed Roshan in 2:18:54 hrs, while, Keerthi Sakthivel ( 2:36:05 hrs) and S Haripriya ( 2:41:49 hrs) also from Team miniOrange grabbed the top two positions in the junior women’s category.
