BITS Pilani, Goa Campus in collaboration with Goa Government, has boosted the digital security mechanism in the state by developing technology using AI tools to identify radical content and fake websites.
According to DGP of Goa Police, Alok Kumar; the cutting-edge technology developed by the BITS Pilani students will help identify hateful content on the internet. He also stated that the test results have been encouraging so far.
The AI-based tool is designed to scan the social media platforms for radical or extremist content aiming to tackle online radicalisation and prevent extremist propaganda. Moreover, the fake websites detection tool helps users identify malicious websites and avoid digital threats. These tools are said to be set to be implemented in Goa from next month, as per the video posted online by the Department of Information and Publicity.
