Eminent Konkani activist and President of Konkani Bhas Ani Sanskrithi Prathishtan, World Konkani Centre, Mangaluru, Nandagopal Shenoy has been nominated as the President of the 34th All India Konkani Convention to be organised by All India Konkani Parishad. The 34th Convention will be held on 14 and 15th November 2026 at Pune, Maharashtra.
He will take over the charge from Konkani activist Fr. Mousinho de Ataide, who held the position for the last two years.
CA Nandagopal Shenoy is a Chartered Accountant by profession, practising in the field of Indirect Taxes since 1989. He is known for his sustained contribution to the Konkani language, culture and community.
He has been serving as the President of Konkani Bhas Ani Sanskrithi Prathishtan, World Konkani Centre, Mangaluru since 2021. Through the World Konkani Centre, he has been instrumental in supporting over 1700+ videos on the Vishwa Konkani YouTube channel, producing content in Konkani, and leading youth empowerment initiatives like ‘Vidyakalpaka’ scholarship support and soft skill programme ‘Khitij’.
The All India Konkani Parishad, the apex body working for the cause of Konkani language across the country, has expressed confidence that under his leadership, the movement for Konkani will gain further momentum.
