‘CATCH THE RAIN, WHERE IT FALLS WHEN IT FALLS’

The Government of Goa has been taking measures to make the best use of rain water under the theme of ‘Catch the rain where it falls, when it falls’.

Rain-water harvesting system has been prevalent in Goa since ages with plenty of bandharas, ponds and pits seen across the state. The roof-top rain water is also being stored in the recent times.

Under the ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan’,  the Goa Government is actively leading collective efforts to conserve every precious drop of water. A lot of awareness is being created to show people how they can effectively imbibe DIY water conservation techniques.

This is not just a task for the government but participation of the society is paramount for the success of the movement to save water, nurture life and cultivate sustainability.
