PANAJI: Former India No 1 Anura Prabhu Desai from Ponda, bagged individual silver medal and team event bronze medal, at the Central Zone Badminton Championship 2022.
Brand Ambassador of Geno Pharmaceuticals, Anura represents Indian Railways team. She defeated Rituparna Das of PSPB 21-18, 17-21, 21-19 in the semi-finals. However in a closely-contested final, Anura went down fighting to Ashmita Chaliha of PSPB 21-16,11-21,18-21 to settle for silver medal in the individual women’s singles competition.
