Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant handed over appointment and promotion letters to Home Guards joining Goa Police, as well as police personnel receiving well-deserved promotions today.
The Chief Minister also launched the Police Public Feedback QR system and the ‘Bhashini’ Mobile App, developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology under the National Translation Mission.
DGP Alok Kumar, IPS; IGP Goa, Omvir Singh Bishnoi, IPS; DIG Goa, Varsha Sharma, IPS; SP North Goa , Akshat Kaushal, IPS; SP South Goa, Sunita Sawant and other senior Police Officers were also present.
The Police Feedback QR codes will be placed outside every police station, enabling citizens to share their feedback directly. This feedback will be monitored by the Police Headquarters to drive continuous improvements and take necessary actions.
The Bhashini App, designed to facilitate translation across various Indian languages, is a vital tool for fostering effective communication among speakers of different languages across India. It has been installed on all 54 Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs) deployed with Robots, Highway Patrol, and the Pink Force. “Goa is proud to be the only state to both upgrade and appoint Home Guards to the Police Force,” emphasised the Chief Minister.
