Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant commended Netra Jyothi Charitable Trust for its incredible work.
The Trust shares a special bond with Goa, with the Health camps under Prasad Netralaya, ‘Vision for All’ campaign where 2 lakh individuals have been screened, 60,000 free spectacles distributed and more than 2800 surgeries have been carried out.
The Chief Minister visited Netra Jyothi Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Udupi, to attend the Convocation Ceremony. He also inaugurated new courses at Netra Jyothi Institute of Allied Health Sciences.
Following new courses have been introduced: Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, M.Sc. Optometry, M.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology, Master of Public Health and Master in Hospital Administration.
“The students learning existing and new courses with specialised knowledge and practical skills, ensuring students contribute vastly to society and the healthcare sector,” said the Chief Minister.
