Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant inaugurated the new facility of Marksans Pharma Ltd at Verna Industrial Estate.
Industries and Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho, MLA Antonio Vas; officials and Executive Director Varddhaman Jain, and the Marksans Pharma team were also present.
Expressing his delight, the Chief Minister hailed the contribution of the pharmaceutical industry to Goa’s economy.
“The pharmaceutical industry serves as a vital pillar of India’s development, with Goa making significant contributions by accounting for 30% of production and exports, while also generating substantial employment opportunities in the state.
“The Government of Goa, in collaboration with the IDC, continues to support the industrial sector through progressive initiatives such as the new industrial policy, IDC Connect, and measures to enhance the Ease of Doing Business,” stated Dr Sawant.
