The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) Goa, has taken a significant step towards enhancing the quality and capabilities of its faculty with the launch of the Academic Leadership Programme (ALP). The ALP, aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, aims to cultivate visionary leadership qualities among educators, provide strategic insights for academic excellence, encourage collaborative networking, and equip educators with modern leadership techniques and practices.
The Infosys Springboard hosted the Academic Leadership Programme (ALP) in collaboration with The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) and the Goa State Higher Education Council (GSHEC) Government of Goa from November 21st to 24th, 2023 at Infosys Mysore Development Centre (DC), India.
As part of academic leadership programme, this is the first workshop was in association with Infosys Springboard. Similar workshops will be held for the next six months with the help of premier academic institutions and Industries in the country. The 4-day workshop at the Mysore DC is among the first of itsALP which sent a delegation of 28 faculty (Batch I) from Higher Education Institutes (HEIs).
The following Infosys officials interacted with the faculty: Sundar K. S., AVP (Associate Vice President) Senior Business Manager-Learning, Education Training and Assessment (ETA) Infosys, Santhosh Ananthapura, Head & Chief Lead for Govt Partnerships , Dr. Meenakshi, Senior Business Manager.
Nivas PCS, Sr. Principal Consultant at ETA, Hyderabad, certified design thinking trainer, conducted three sessions on Design Thinking and Leadership skills among other training sessions.
Prof. Niyan Marchon, and Prof. F.M. Nadaf were the coordinators for the ALP 1 from DHE.
