Fatima Convent High School, Margao, emerged the champions in the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs’ state-level U-17 girls football tournament.
At the Dramapur football ground, Fatima Convent thrashed Poira High School, Poira-Bicholim, 7-0 in the final. Zuriel Tavares was the architect of the big win, as she scored half-a-dozen goals. Merecia Tavares also got onto the score sheet with a goal. Meanwhile, Pope John XXIII High School, Quepem, finished in the third position.
