V.M.M’s RMS HSS, Margao and Vidya Prabodhini HSS, Porvorim, bagged the state-level team championships in U-19 boys and girls gymnastics competition organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at multipurpose indoor hall, Fatorda.
RMS HSS and Vidya Prabodhini HSS scored five points each for winning one gold medal. Abhijeet P. Dhere was the gold-medallist (Floor exercise) for RMS. Swara Godbole bagged the gold medal (Floor exercise) for Vidya Prabodhini.
Meanwhile in the state-level U-14 boys competition, Mushtifund High School, Cujira, topped with Sharvil S. Shedge winning the gold medal in Floor exercise.
In the U-14 girls competition, Dr. K.B Hedgewar HS, Cujira, were the champions scoring 6 points with one gold medal, which was won by Kamakshi A. Dharwadkar (Floor exercise); and a bronze medal clinched by Bhoomi G. Vernekar (Floor exercise).
