Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has expressed happiness at the record number of virtual internship through EduSkills programme.
After attending the inaugural ceremony of EduSkills Connect 2023, the Chief Minister emphasised on the growth of skilling initiatives for youth of the country.
“I am happy to know that more than 2.5 lakh students have completed their virtual internship through EduSkills program and set a record in Asia & India Book of Records as “Highest Numbers of Internships Completed in 2 Years…Skilling, Adoption of New Technology & Scale is the way forward, and programs like these shall build the future of the youth in India,” posted Dr Sawant on social media. He also highlighted Government of Goa’s initiatives in a similar direction.
The Chief Minister also presented the ‘Award of Appreciation’ to 12 Global Corporate Partners, including Google, AWS, Tech Mahindra, for supporting AICTE-EduSkills Virtual Internship.
The EduSkills conclave intends to encourage interaction between Academia and Industry and to deliberate upon the emerging trends in technology, scope and challenges for the institutes to build upon the opportunities. It provides a platform to strategies on elevating the skilling ecosystem.
