The Valedictory Ceremony of the Five-Day Residential Training Programme on Tourism Policing, jointly organised by Rashtriya Raksha University and Goa Police; was held at Altinho-Panaji on Friday.
Governor P Ashok Gajapathi Raju graced the occasion along with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant.
Addressing the officers who underwent the training, Pusapati Ashok Gajapati Raju said that the training they received was an investment in professionalism, sensitivity, and preparedness. Goa is one of the world’s favourite tourism destinations. Your professionalism is the visitors’ peace of mind. The impression the tourists carry of Goa depends upon how they are treated in crucial moments,” he said.
“The participation of police personnel from Goa, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Jammu & Kashmir, Lakshadweep, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands reflects our shared commitment to strengthening safety and security for tourists. This initiative is a step towards making Goa a safer and more welcoming global destination,” asserted Dr Sawant.
