PANAJI: Eleven badminton officials from Goa and one official from Gujarat, successfully completed the ‘State Match Controller’s Workshop’ organised by Goa Badminton Association, at Navelim, Salcete (South Goa).
In the one-day workshop (following a week of practicals/assignments), the participants were trained for operating the Tournament Software Planner, a software which is used to manage entries, draws, operate and run tournaments Nationally and Internationally.
Badminton Association of India-nominated Match Controller, M.S.N Prasad, who has been the official for several National and International tournaments such as Commonwealth Games, Thomas & Uber Cup Finals, Asian Badminton Championships, India Open Super Series, Premier Badminton Leagues, Bangladesh Open etc; was the chief faculty for the workshop. P.V.L Kumar was the co-faculty.
Following participants completed the workshop successfully: Anar Singbal, Divyesh Shirsat, Guru Khandeparkar, Hayat Fazal, Kartik Swami, Monishka Arya, Ritesh Borkar, Sandeep Heble, Shamsuddin C. K, Sharmad Mahajan, Vineeta Adpaikar (All from Goa) and Vinod Karangia (Gujarat).
