Dr. Sandeep Anant Lawande, senior faculty and nodal officer of National Education Policy from Goa Dental College and Hospital, Bambolim won first prize for the ‘Best Paper Award’ at the National Conference on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 organised recently by Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, a reputed deemed to be university from Pune. The award carries a certificate and a cash prize of fifteen thousand rupees.
The theme of the conference was ‘National Education Policy – a paradigm shift and implications on online education’. This conference aimed to provide a platform for discussing the issues, challenges, opportunities and findings of NEP in India with reference to online education.
Altogether, 75 papers from delegates across the country were presented at this national conference. Dr. Sandeep Lawande presented the paper titled ‘Relevance of Online Dental Education for undergraduate dental students in Improving the Quality of Patient Care’, which was distinguished and well appreciated by the judges for its innovative content and valuable insights focussing on strategic recommendations for the blended mode of learning (traditional and online) in Dentistry.
The findings of the paper will be soon published in an indexed journal by Empyreal Publishing House, a multinational publishing company.
