Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant on Sunday; flagged off ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign under
‘Shramdaan’ a mega cleanliness drive from housing board junction at Sankhali.
Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Councilors and staff of the Sankhali Municipal Council joined the noble initiative, in keeping with the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of one hour ‘Shramdaan’ to offer a ‘Swachhanjali’ to Bapu.
The Chief Minister also felicitated the Sanitation workers and other staff of the Sankhali Municipal Council on the occasion.
“I am happy to witness the enthusiasm of this abhiyaan at Sankhali and all over the state. May the spirit of Swachha Bharat continue for a cleaner, greener and sustainable state and country,” said Dr Sawant.
The enthusiasm was seen all-round the state with various departments of the Government of Goa, schools and Residential societies doing their bit on the occasion.
Officials from Info Tech Corporation of Goa Limited actively participated in the cleanliness drive held at at Electronic Manufacturing Cluster, Tuem in Pernem (North Goa).
FDA, Bambolim, and Department of Information officials participated cleanliness drive in Panaji. Officials and staff of Secretariat, Porvorim, joined the nationwide ‘Shramdaan’ at the Assembly Complex, Porvorim.
Sanjay Centre for Special Education-Porvorim actively participated in Swachhata Hi Seva under Shramdaan mega cleanliness drive, at Pundalik Devasthan premises, Porvorim.
