A high-level delegation representing the Government of Goa, visited Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad, to study and brainstorm over strategies and measures to be taken to promote entrepreneurship in Goa.
The delegation comprised senior officers Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Secretary Industries, Trade and Commerce; Asvin Chandru, IAS, Director industries; Dipak Bandekar, Director, Information and Publicity among other officials.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant had taken the initiative to set up an Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India centre in Goa, in March 2024. EDII Goa Centre has been promoting entrepreneurship education and training amongst the youth, students in the state.
The high-level Goan delegation’s visit to EDII headquarters in Ahmedabad, further strengthens the evolving entrepreneurship landscape in Goa.
Located at the EDC House, EDII Goa Centre offers a range of entrepreneurial programs. It serves as a crucial catalyst for promoting sustainable business practices, entrepreneurship and economic development across Goa. The centre’s mission is to provide aspiring entrepreneurs and MSMEs with the necessary knowledge, mentorship and resources to create and scale successful businesses.
