Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has revealed that Goa is heading towards expansion of the Sports infrastructure that includes more centres of Khelo India, in the near future.
After chairing the meeting of Goa CSR Authority, the Chief Minister posted an update on his social media, saying: “Goa has successfully organized the 37th National Games. The Govt of Goa is looking to expand the sports infra in the state with more Kheloindia centre’s, empanelling coaches to build robust sports environment in the state. The Govt is aiming to establish a Sports University in the state.
“I am sure the CSR initiatives of the corporates in Goa shall contribute to the development of Khelo India centers, Sports environment in the state.”
Sports Secretary Swetika Sachan, Managing Director of SBI Foundation, Sanjay Prakash; representatives of various companies were also present for the meeting at Porvorim.
