After an intense month of pre-season preparation in Goa, Goa Guardians began their long-awaited journey in the Prime Volleyball League Season 4 on October 3, 2025, a historic day for the state and the franchise as they became the tenth team to join the PVL.

From rigorous training sessions to stepping up in the high-energy PVL arena in Hyderabad, the team’s debut campaign has been a testament to their dedication, passion, and growing sense of unity. What followed was a season of heart, hustle, and high-voltage volleyball. Goa opened with two back-to-back five-set thrillers against Bengaluru Torpedoes (2-3) and Kochi Blue Spikers (2-3), matches that showed immense potential, though wins just slipped away.

The breakthrough came in a sensational win against Ahmedabad Defenders (3-2), where Goa Guardians stunned everyone with an unforgettable fifth-set comeback. Close encounters continued with a narrow loss to Chennai Blitz (2-3), followed by a dominant straight-set win over Kolkata Thunderbolts (3-0), their most commanding performance yet. Despite a hard-fought 1-3 loss to the Hyderabad Blackhawks, the Goa Guardians continue to stay in the playoff conversation.

Currently placed 6th with 8 points, their qualification hopes still hangs in the balance, the Guardians remain firmly in contention. To qualify, Goa must beat Delhi Toofans and aim for a 3point win, while keeping an eye on the results of Hyderabad and Kolkata both chasing similar margins.

With belief burning bright and the state rallying behind them, Goa’s final clash will define how far heart and hard work can take a new team.
