A national seminar on ‘Digital & Virtual Libraries:Transforming Libraries & Information Services’ was organised by Krishnadas Shama Goa State Central Library, at Multipurpose Hall, Sanskruti Bhavan, Panaji.
Art & Culture Minister, Govind Gaude inaugurated the National Seminar in the presence of Director Art and Culture, Sagun Velip; Dy.Director Art and Culture, Ashok Parab and others were also present.
Around 30 professional librarians and research
scholars from the field of Library & Information Science from throughout the country, presented Research Paper on ‘Digital & Virtual Libraries’ as well as on related sub-topics’. Around 300 librarians from Goa participated in this National Seminar.
A special exhibition of books related to the ‘Father of Library Science’, Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, has also been organised by the Goa State Central Library. This exhibition will be open for public till August 19, 2023.
