Goa Saras Mela 2023-24 has commenced at Shri Dev Bodgeshwar Ground, Mapusa. The Mela will be open till 11th December, 2023.
Saras is an initiative of the Government of Goa and supported by the Government of India, to provide a marketing platform to rural entrepreneurs and artisans. Goa SARAS is an annual exhibition cum-sale of handicrafts, handlooms and food products.
Rural Development Minister, Govind Gaude inaugurated Saras Mela, where Self Help Groups market the articles of Rural Artisans Society. Dy. Speaker, Joshua De Souza, President of North Goa Zilla Panchayat, Siddesh Naik; Project Director, DRDA, (North Goa) Bhushan Savoikar; Chairperson MMC, Priya Mishal were also present.
The Mela is organised by Department of Rural Department, District Rural Development Agency & Goa State Rural Livelihood Mission.
