Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant attended the 23rd anniversary celebration of Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (GSIDC) on Thursday at Miramar.
MLA Rajesh Faldessai, Principal Secretary (Finance), Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS; Managing Director of GSIDC, Harish Adconkar were also present.
Praising GSIDC for functioning with efficiency on various projects like the most highlighted infrastructural icons in the form of Atal Setu among others, the Chief Minister emphasised that this is one Corporation that works like a company from private sector with profit-making target. The Government does not give separate grant to run the Corporation, he added.
Dr. Sawant also paid tribute to Padma Bhushan, late Dr Manohar Parrikar; stating that the ex-CM had formed the GSIDC as “special purpose vehicle for Special projects and shaped innovative projects from 2001 to 2004.”
