Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant attended the conclave on Marine Multi-hazard services for Indian Coastline; organised by ESSO-Indian National Centre for ocean Information Services (INCOIS), Ministry of Earth Sciences & National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA),Govt. of India.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also witnessed the MoU signed between Goa University and ESSO-INCOIS, Ministry of Earth Sciences in the presence of NDMA and partner institutions.
“This collaboration will boost research and services in marine hazard management, protect Goa’s coastline, and provide advanced advisories and data to safeguard fishermen, villages, and tourists. I commend INCOIS, NDMA, and the Ministry for their efforts. The Goa Government is committed to supporting this initiative and strengthening our Blue Economy,” emphasised Dr Sawant.
