A two-day training workshop for French teachers in Goa, was held on February 27 and 28, 2025 at Goa University. Teachers from various educational institutions came together to explore creative ways to teach French. They engaged with songs from Francophone artists, using them to develop lively and interactive learning activities.
The event was organised by the French Institute in India (IFI) in collaboration with Goa University, Alliance Française, Panjim, and Cavilam-Alliance Française.
Prof. Anuradha Wagle, Dean of the Shenoi Goembab School of Languages and Literature at Goa University, and Prash Palanimalai, Attaché for Cooperation in French Language (West India) at the French Institute in India, opened the workshop.
Over the 12 hours of sessions, Magali Delcombel, Expert trainer from Cavilam-Alliance Française, shared her expertise and practical strategies to enhance French language teaching.
Anthony Gomes and Dr. Irene Silveira, Assistant Professors in the Discipline of French and Francophone Studies at Goa University, coordinated the event.
