PANAJI: International Master Bhakti Kulkarni will represent India at the FIDE Women’s World Cup 2021 to be held in Russia from July 10 to 3rd August 2021.
The Goan chess ace was part of the Indian team that jointly-topped the online chess Olympiad last year. Bhakti, who qualified directly as per FIDE criteria, will leave on July 9 according to a communique by Goa Chess Association.
Humpy Koneru, Harika Dronavalli, Padmini Rout are Bhakti’s team-mates at the 9th edition of the World Cup, which is a 206-player single-elimination competition.
