GOA’S AAHIL SHEIKH, DITHI REDDY, RAHIL PAREKH, DHRUV SHANBHAG & RUHA GHOSH IMPRESS AT AQUAMOGA 2025

Goa’s Aahil Sheikh, a hearing impaired swimmer from Bicholim emerged as the fastest swimmer on day two of the miniOrange AquaMoga 2025 event at the Miramar beach on Saturday. The second day of the three-day event saw enthusiastic response from swimmers from Goa, India and across the world as Aahil Sheikh swam his one km sea race in just 18:10 minutes.

Dithi Reddy of Bengaluru also swam her one km sea race in a powerful 23:32 mins to be the fastest woman for this distance. Rahil Parekh of Mumbai, who last swam in the sea, twenty years ago still managed to swim his 2km in a very quick 33:39 minutes to emerge as the quickest swimmer in the 2km category. He was closely followed by Dhruv Shanbagh (33:51 mins) and Ruha Ghosh ( 37:03 mins) both trainees at the popular, Nisha Millet academy in Bengaluru.

Vedika Shah of Bengaluru also impressed with a time of 39:09 minutes for her 2km sea swim.

On Sunday, February 23,  over 100 athletes will take part in the Goa Triathlon and the Goa Aquathlon events at the Miramar beach. The North Goa district collector has imposed traffic restrictions on several roads in Panaji city in view of the same.
