Former India international and Dempo Sports Club legend Clifford Miranda has been named head coach of ISL club Odisha FC, until the end of the season.

Miranda (40) had joined Odisha as an assistant coach ahead of the Hero ISL 2022-23 season, with Spanish tactician Josep Gombau being the head coach.

Odisha parted company with Gombau recently and has now promoted Miranda, who will take charge of the team as they prepare for the Hero Super Cup 2023, states a press release.

Before joining Odisha, Miranda had progressed through coaching ranks at FC Goa, even becoming the Gaurs’ interim head coach towards the end of the Hero ISL 2019-20 season and guided them to the League Winners’ Shield triumph.
