GOA’S CONNECTIVITY INFRASTRUCTURE ENHANCED WITH PROJECTS WORTH RS 4200

Projects worth over Rs. 4,200 Crore were inaugurated, along with the foundation stone-laying ceremony for various projects in South Goa on Tuesday.

The significant milestone for Goa’s infrastructure development was graced by Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari in the presence of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant.

“We are committed to implementing a long-term, efficient mobility plan to reduce travel time across key routes, including Patradevi to Pollem, Vasco to Ponda, and Panaji to Ponda,” asserted the Chief Minister.

India’s first Curved Flyover-cum-Cable-Stayed ROB was inaugurated in Vasco today. Stretching 8 kms from Ravindra Bhavan Baina to MPT Gate 9, this ₹644 crore project will significantly enhance connectivity to Mormugao Port and provide a major boost to tourism and socio-economic development.

𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 were laid for the following projects:

•Flyover from MES College Junction to Bogmalo Junction & VUP at Queeny Junction
Cost of project: ₹472 crore (NH 566)

•Four-laning of Road from End of Zuari Approaches to Start of Margao Bypass
Cost of project: ₹398 crore (NH 66)

•Four-laning of Highway from Navelim to Cuncolim
Cost of project: ₹747 crore (NH 66)

•Four-laning of Highway from Bendordem to Pollem
Cost of project: ₹1,376 crore (NH 66)

•Four-laning of Highway from Ponda to Bhoma
Cost of project: ₹557 crore (NH 748)
