Goa Yachting Association has announced that top iQFoiler Katya Coelho has secured a place to represent India at the upcoming Asian Games 2026.
The GYA stated: “We extend our warmest congratulations to her on this achievement and wish her every success at the championships. It is unfortunate that our sailor Dayne could not secure a spot this time.
“GYA remains hopeful that the Government of Goa, through the Sports Authority of Goa, will fulfil our long-pending demand for the appointment of dedicated sailing coaches. The same is long pending after approval at the AGM of the SAG. Dedicated coaches will ensure that Goa sailors are provided with structured training and guidance, necessary to develop their potential and, importantly, enable more of our athletes to qualify and compete successfully at national and international levels.
“GYA remains committed to supporting and nurturing local sailing talent and looks forward to celebrating many more successes in the years ahead.”
