PANAJI: The Goa Olympic Association (GOA), as part of its Olympics awareness campaign on the sidelines of Tokyo 2020, felicitated eminent sports personalities related to Shooting, Billiards & Snooker, Boxing, and Gymnastics on Tuesday.
In recognition of their outstanding achievements in their respective sports fields, the following players/personalities were felicitated at KTC Bus-stand, Panaji:
Billiards & Snooker: Krishna Barad and Vinod Kerkar; Shooting: Atul Nakhare, Yash Padloskar, Akanksha Shinde, Nelson Dube and Bhagishri Padloskar; Gymnastics: Cruz Mergulhao, Gopal Kunkalekar, Jayawant G. Hammanavar, Sudesh K. Thakur and Anu Modak; Boxing: Sunil Chodankar, Vimal Naik, Priyanka Khandeparkar, Santosh Birmole and Purushottam Fadte.
Gurudatta Bhakta, GOA Secretary-General, graced the felicitation function along with office-bearers of the Shooting, Billiards & Snooker, Boxing and Gymnastics state sports associations, in the presence of North Goa co-ordinators Chetan Kavlekar, Sandeep Heble and Rajendra Godinho; informs a press release issued by GOA media coordinator Sandeep Heble.
