PANAJI: Every child is talented or gifted in some way or the other and making the saying true is 15-year-old Pearl Colvalcar from Goa with her achievements in Skiff Sailing. This weekend on BYJU’S Young Genius Season 2, we witnessed the Indian Olympic athlete and silver medal winner in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Ravi Kumar Dahiya and Pearl getting candid and talking about their favourite sports, dreams, mentors, and much more; states a press release.
Pearl, who aims to compete in the Paris Olympics, got advice from Ravi Dahiya on the pros and cons of competing in the competition. Ravi, who was part of a group that brought the country honours at the Tokyo Olympics, also offered his experience and guided Pearl. Ravi encouraged Pearl that she should always aim for gold in any tournament. He also discussed the efforts that led to his Olympic Silver medal and discussed how he began wrestling at the age of ten and how his father has been a huge support throughout his journey.
With our lives increasingly centred on social media, Ravi advised Pearl to ignore criticism and social media trolls, as they have no idea what your true abilities are.
Talking about his experience being on the show Ravi shares, “I consider myself fortunate to have been invited to BYJU’S Young Genius Season 2 . It is extremely amazing how these young geniuses are crystal clear about their objectives and plans to attain them. I wish Pearl all the best in her future endeavours.”
Pearl began Windsurfing as a result of her love for the water. At the age of 10, she discovered Skiff Sailing and became one of the youngest skiff sailors in India.
